Count total days, weekdays, weekends, and weeks between any two dates — past or future.
At a glance
The Quick Answer
Between March 1 and May 30, 2026 there are 91 days when counting both endpoints — 65 weekdays, 26 weekend days, and 13 complete weeks. If you count the elapsed gap instead of both dates, it is 90 days. Enter your two dates above to get every one of these numbers at once.

Inclusive vs. Elapsed Counting
Two conventions cause most off-by-one confusion:
- Inclusive (this tool): both the start and end date count. Selecting the same date twice returns 1 day. This suits leases, coverage periods, and "days of employment" questions.
- Elapsed: the difference between the dates, where the start date is day 0. Hotel nights and interest accrual typically work this way.
To convert between them, subtract 1 from the inclusive count — 91 inclusive days is a 90-day elapsed span.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the count include both dates?
Yes, the total is inclusive of the start and end date. The same date entered twice returns 1 day. Subtract 1 if you want the elapsed-day convention.
Can I enter dates in either order?
Yes. If the end date is earlier, the tool swaps them automatically and always shows a positive count.
How is the years-months-days figure calculated?
By calendar subtraction: whole years first, then remaining months, then remaining days. It is a human-readable breakdown, not the total divided by 365.
Are holidays excluded from the weekday count?
No. Every Monday through Friday counts as a weekday regardless of holidays, so treat it as a quick business-day estimate.
