  2. Enter the area width and height, and the tile width and height.

  5. Click Calculate Tiles to see the results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why add wastage?

Wastage accounts for cut tiles, breakage during installation, and future repairs. A 10-15% buffer is standard for most tiling projects.

Does the grout gap affect the count?

Yes. The calculator adds the grout gap to each tile dimension when computing how many tiles fit across the area.

Can I use this for metric units?

Yes. Select meters for area and centimeters for tiles. The calculator handles the conversion internally.

What if my tiles are sold by the box?

Enter the number of tiles per box, and the calculator will round up to the nearest whole box.
