Quick answer
To run a raffle draw, assign every ticket a number, set Min to 1 and Max to your total ticket count, set Count to the number of winners, and uncheck Allow Duplicates so no ticket wins twice. Every ticket has an exactly equal chance — the digital equivalent of shaking a drum and pulling stubs.

A Fair 500-Ticket Raffle, Step by Step
Selling 500 tickets numbered 1–500? A single ticket's chance of winning one prize is 1/500 = 0.2%. Drawing 3 winners with duplicates off guarantees three distinct tickets. The history panel stores your last five runs on the page, so if a dispute comes up you can show the draw record on screen.
Ticket Counts and Winning Odds
| Tickets you hold (of 500) | Chance of winning one prize |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.2% |
| 5 | 1.0% |
| 10 | 2.0% |
| 25 | 5.0% |
| 50 | 10.0% |
Tips for a Transparent Draw
Publish the ticket list before the draw so entrants can confirm their numbers, run the generator in front of witnesses or on a shared screen, and draw from smallest prize to grand prize so suspense builds. If a winner declines a prize, just generate again — with duplicates off, no already-drawn ticket can sneak back into that same run.
Multiple Rounds
Running several prize tiers? Do one run per tier and keep duplicates off within each run. For a strict rule that nobody wins two prizes across tiers, note the winning numbers and re-roll any repeat — the on-screen history makes cross-checking easy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a random number generator fair for a raffle?
Yes. Every integer in the range has an identical probability, which matches the fairness of a well-mixed physical drum. For regulated charitable raffles, check your state's rules on draw methods.
What if two people bought the same ticket number?
That is a ticket-management issue, not a draw issue — the generator picks one number, and whoever holds that numbered ticket wins. Number tickets uniquely before selling.
Can I draw winners one at a time instead of all at once?
Yes. Set Count to 1 and generate repeatedly, writing down each winner. Leave duplicates off only within a run, so manually exclude earlier winners between single draws.
How many winners can I draw at once?
Up to 100 per run, as long as the ticket range is at least that large. For more winners, run the draw in batches.
